Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions should be read and construed as forming an agreement between Harley’s Rider Training (hereinafter referred to as Harley’s).

  1. All fees shall be paid in advance of each course or lesson.
  2. Students must bring their driving licence for every course (both parts, photo and counterpart for new style licence). Failure to produce their license will result in loss of training course without refund.
  3. In the event of a mechanical breakdown or other cause Harley’s reserves the right to rearrange or rebook any course at the earliest convenient time.
  4. If the student fails to give sufficient notice cancelling any course for Harley’s to substitute another student on that course the student will be liable for the full course price.
  5. All students must provide valid photographic identification, current driving licence (both parts), CBT certificate and motorcycle theory test pass certificate for test.
  6. All payments must be made to Harley’s Rider Training.
  7. It is a condition of participating in any course that the student:
    1. is duly licensed to ride a motorcycle on the public highway in the United Kingdom (must have provisional category A for motorcycle and P for moped);
    2. uses a motorcycle, which if it is not provided by Harley’s, is one which is in good and sound mechanical order;
    3. has arranged valid insurance cover, and MOT if applicable;
    4. wears suitable protective clothing including, in particular, a safety helmet which complies with UK legal requirements. Gloves must be worn for safety reasons.
  8. If the student is unable to attend or cancels any course, or is unable to complete any course for any reason whatsoever, other than default on the part of Harley’s, he/she shall not be entitled to a refund of fees paid in respect of such course.
  9. Harley’s accepts no liability for any claim, loss, damage or expense arising out of the acts or omissions of Harley’s, its employees or agents.
  10. The student agrees to indemnify Harley’s against any claim, loss, damage or expense incurred by Harley’s as a result of the breach of any of these Terms and Conditions by the student.
  11. Harley’s reserves the right to amend its terms and conditions, without notice, at any time.
  12. Hired motorcycles are covered third party only insurance and students will be liable for any damage costs unless collision damage waiver is taken and paid for prior to hire.
  13. Students must be fit to attend motorcycle training. Any person who is considered under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be refused training and will lose training. No refund will be provided. We reserve the right to call for police assistance in this matter.
  14. As per Distance Selling Regulations if your course has been booked and paid for via telephone or e-mail you have the right to a refund if you cancel your course in writing within seven days of booking. Please note that this does not apply if you book within 7 days of the course commencement date.
